Masks in Healthcare

As part of our campaign to keep and strengthen healthcare mask requirements, we’re flooding MLAs, the Ministry of Health and other key policy-makers with phone messages. Placing a call just takes a few seconds, and can be one of the most effective ways to reach policy-makers. Here’s what to do:

Then, leave a phone message like this:

Over the summer, we’ve seen repeated illness outbreaks in healthcare – and now we’re heading into a new COVID wave, while measles circulates and influenza season looms. Preventable healthcare infections not only harm patients and healthcare workers, but lead to longer, costlier hospitalizations and strained capacity, putting pressure on healthcare budgets.

We also need to close gaps in former mask rules, like using N95 masks as the default, as supported by over 1,700 experts, advocates, and major unions.
